This would be an example of a physical change. The salt is still salt, it just dissolved.

It's a physical change.

The salt dissolves into the water, but you can go back to this change.

You can find a way to separate the water and the salt like evaporating the water.

The other king of change is the chemical change.

That is a change that you can't go back.

Like burning some material. You burn the wood, and you will never have that piece of wood again as the beginning.
