Answer: Yes!! indeed they are!! How else would they be made, i mean who ever created the crayon did it at home, or at work! then it got popular and people started to make it in assembly line's because it was safer that way and quicker.

We manufacture almost 3 billion crayons each year. The paraffin wax is melted and mixed together with pre-measured amounts of color pigments. ... The hot wax mixture is poured into molding machines. In about four to seven minutes, the crayons cool and become solid.
