King Louis XVI's wife, named Marie Antoinette, was from Austria. This caused an alliance between France (Where Louis ruled) and Austria. Austria is also where Louis and his family tried to run to when the revolution got out of hand and the townspeople wanted the royal family executed. They were caught before they made it, but hey, at least they tried.
