5 0

Answer:

Let 2x + y - 10 = 0 be equation (a).

Let x - y - 5 = 0 be equation (b).

Make y the subject in equation (b):

{ \tt{x - y - 5 = 0}} \\ { \tt{y = x - 5}}

Substitute for y in equation (a):

{ \tt{2x + (x - 5) - 10 = 0}} \\ { \tt{3x - 15 = 0}} \\ { \tt{3x = 15}} \\  { \tt{x = 5}}

Find y in any equation of your choice:

{ \tt{y = (5) - 5}} \\ y = 0

−4x+7y+5=0<br> x−3y=−5<br> How many solutions does the system have?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
A (solution) is a point of intersection. If the lines have different slopes then they will have one solution. If they have the same slope, then they will have either infinite or no solutions, depending on the y intercepts.

These equations have different slopes, therefore the system has 1 solution.

tatuchka [14]
1.5 lawns and 49.5 lawns you might want to make the .5’s a fraction so they won’t think it’s a calculator or right it as a rate if you are doing unit rates

During a fundraiser, students in Math Club make a $0,50 profit for every candy bar
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

profit(n) = n * .50

Profit(10) = 5.00

Step-by-step explanation:

Profit = amount of candy bars sold * profit per candy bar

profit(n) = n * .50

Let the number of candy bars sold be 10  ( n=10)

Profit(10) = 10 * .50

               = 5.00

When you added you only added 9  .50 terms which is why you only got 4.50 for your answer.
