Alivn was being collaborative because of the way he aprroched his point. when he addressed Latoya's point he told her that he understood where she was going in her point but he wanted to explain his point and wanted to tell her that he disagrees. he also gave a chance to explain why he disagreed with the statement which would give her a different point of view and help her to understand why he may feel that way.
