Contrary to the myths perpetuated by western films, most military forts of the American West were not established to protect the settlers from Indians; rather, they were built to maintain peace among the tribes, as well as between Native Americans and white emigrants.

New states in the west allowed suffrage for all white males regardless of property. SInce some older states felt threatened (more people would move to the west, in effect changing the number of representatives for the house), they also started eliminating voting property requirements. In today's time, Republicans would most likely support a tax decrease for businesses.

The reason why it's not A is because Republicans believe jobs can be created through business (business owners create new openings which means new jobs)

It's not B because the Republicans favor businesses. Regulating the business industry would mean creating less jobs and profit for them.

As for C, the Republicans want a stricter enforcement of housing in our current situation (improve on what we have), not to create a new and improved public housing project.
