The positive two-digit integers x and y have the same digits, but in reverse order. Which of the following must be a factor of x
shusha [124]

Answer: (D) 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the first digit x composed of ab and the second digit y composed of reversed of ab =ba

The sum of x and y will be

x+y = ab+ ba

x+y= (10.a + b) + (10.b +a)

x+y= 10a+b+10b+a

x+y= 11a+11b

By factorization

x+y= 11(a+b)

Therefore 11 is compulsory factor of x and y

What is the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the line y = 2x + 4 and passes through the point (–2, 3)?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

3=-1/2(-2)+b

solve

3=1+b

2=b

b=2

now that we have the slope and y intercept of the equation construct your equation:

y=-1/2x+2

Neither of these answers are correct. I graphed them all and not a single one passed through (-2, 3)

Additionally, the slopes of B and D are inncorrect and lines A and C dont pass through the point (-2, 3) the only correct equation is y=-1/2x+2

I graphed it and it was valid

Please help me!
x-7>10

x>__?
tester [92]

Answer:

x>17

Step-by-step explanation:

We can treat an inequality just the same as an equality in terms of manipulation!(This doesn't hold for multiplying or dividing by negative numbers, but it holds for all addition).

So, we can add 7 to both sides of the inequality to get x-7+7>10+7.

We can simplify -7+7 into 0, and 10+7 into 17.

So, the answer is \boxed{x>17} and we're done!

f(x) = ((x^2) / 3) + x, for f(6)

f(6) = ((6^2) / 3) + 6

Square 6

f(6) = (36 / 3) + 6

Divide 36 by 3

f(6) = 12 + 6

Combine like terms

f(6) = 18
