They do this when electrons get excited and jump off chloroplast into thylakoid membrane, the electrons have to be replaced so they steal them from CO2 and all that is left is oxygen and they release it.</span>

The adhesion and cohesion of water is a result of water's ability to form hydrogen bonds. The way a water molecule is organized has one side of the molecule having a slight positive charge, while the other has a slight negative charge. The slight negative and positives are attracted to each other, making the water sticky in a sense, or more technically adhesive and cohesive.
