oscar bought some markers notebooks and packs of sticky notes for his office he bought the same number of markers as notebooks h
s2008m [1.1K]

The number of each kind of office supply oscar bought is = markers= (43.2 - 4.2y)/3 notebooks = (43.2-3x)/4.2, sticky notes = [43.2 - 4.2y)/3 + (43.2-3x)/4.2] + 3.

<h3>Calculation of total office supply</h3>

The number of markers he bought = X

The number of notebooks he bought= y

The number of sticky notes he bought= z= 3 + X+y

The amount he paid for markers = $1.05*X

The amount he paid for notebooks = $2.25*y

The amount he paid for sticky notes= $1.95 (3 + X+y)

The total amount he paid is = $49.05

That is;

$49.05 = $1.05x + $2.25y + $1.95 (3 + X+y)

$49.05 = $1.05x + $2.25y + $5.85 + $1.95x + $1.95y

$49.05 - $5.85 = 3x + 4.2y

$43.2 = 3x + 4.2y

Make X the subject of formula,

3x = 43.2 - 4.2y

X = (43.2 - 4.2y)/3

y= (43.2-3x)/4.2

z = [43.2 - 4.2y)/3 + (43.2-3x)/4.2] + 3

Please answer this and show your work please I really need help !!!
klemol [59]
Unless you just want to give money to the ice cream truck, for 0 items, you will pay 0.

Since the price of each item is $0.77, for one item you will pay $0.77. (Is that a surprise?)

Then for two items, you will pay $0.77 for each one, or $0.77 + 0.77 = $1.54. You can also compute this by making use of the fact that multiplication is a shortcut for repeated addition. The price can be found by $0.77×2 = $1.54 = f(2).

Similarly, for 3 items, you can add $0.77 three times: $0.77 + 0.77 + 0.77 = f(3), or you can use multiplication: $0.77×3 = $2.31 = f(3).

a) Our table looks like
  (x, f(x))
  (0, 0)
  (1, 0.77)
  (2, 1.54)
  (3, 2.31)

b) By now, I'm sure you have realized that to find the price of x items, you multiply 0.77 by x.
  f(x) = 0.77x

a pile of sand has a weight of 90kg The sand is put into a small bag, a medium bag and a large bag in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 7 Wor
just olya [345]
Hi there!

To split 90 kilos in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 7 we must first realise that we have a total of 2 + 3 + 7 = 12 parts, in which we must split the total 90 kilos.

12 parts equal 90 kilo, and therefore
1 part equals 90 / 12 = 7.5 kilos.

1 part equals 90 / 12 = 7.5 kilos, and therefore
2 parts equal 7.5 × 2 = 15 kilos.

1 part equals 90 / 12 = 7.5 kilos, and therefore
3 parts equal 7.5 × 3 = 22.5 kilos.

1 part equals 90 / 12 = 7.5 kilos, and therefore
7 parts equal 7.5 × 7 = 52.5 kilos.

Hence, 90 kilos in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 7
gives 15 kg, 22.5 kg and 52.5 kg.

~ Hope this helps you!

NO ONE EVER ANSWERS MY QUESTIONS I NEED HELP PLEASE!!! 2 problems Given: △KLM LM=12, m∠K=60°, m∠M=45° Find: Perimeter of △KLM. a
almond37 [142]

To solve this problem we will use sinus theorem.

It's general form is

a/sinα = b/sinβ = c/sinγ

In this case it reads ML/sin∡K = KL/sin∡M = KM/sin∡L  =>

ML/sin∡K = KL/sin∡M  =>  12/sin60° = KL/sin45° => 12/(√3/2) = KL/(√2/2) =>

2*12/√3 = 2*KL/√2 => We will divide whole equation with number 2 and get

12/√3=KL/√2 => KL*√3=12√2 => KL=(12√2)/√3

When we rationalize denominator we get  KL=4√6≈ 4*2.45= 9.8

Considering that we know two angles we will calculate the third

∡K+∡M+∡L=180° => 60°+45°+∡L=180° => ∡L= 180-105=75°

Reason- The theorem of the sum of the inner angles of the triangle

ML/sin∡K=KM/sin∡L => 12/sin60°=KM/sin75°

We will calculate  sin75° = sin (30+45)= sin30 *cos45+cos30*sin45 =>

sin75°= 1/2 * √2/2 = √3/2 * √2/2= √2/4 *(√3+1)≈(1.41/4)*(1.73+1)=0.96

12/(√3/2)=KM/0.96 => 12*2/√3=KM/0.96 => 13.87=KM/0.96 =>

KM=13.87*0.96= 13.31

Perimeter of ΔKLM => P=KL+ML+KM= 12+9.8+13.31= 35.11

In the same way you can calculate perimeter of ΔMNO.

Good luck!!!
