Markus is finding that it takes too long to track down all of the groceries he needs to buy from a given store. GroceryGrabbr to

the rescue! The app allows Markus to input his shopping list and search for his local grocery store in GroceryGrabbr's database. If his grocery store is there, Markus is all set to go! The database stores grocery items, cost, and item location information for each grocery store. When Markus walks into the store, a notification pops up on his smartphone letting him know that GroceryGrabbr is ready to get to work. Each of Markus' grocery items is displayed one at a time, along with the aisle number and shelf location. After Markus grabs his items off the shelf, he hits a button on the app to navigate to the next item. The list of items is arranged so that Markus follows the most efficient path through the grocery store. When Markus finishes shopping, the total amount of money his groceries cost is displayed, which allows him to double check the total cost with the cashier. GroceryGrabbr pays grocery stores a small amount of money for each user who successfully uses the app and checks out of the store with over one hundred dollars worth of groceries.

Ollie is catering a dinner party for more than 26 guests. Each guest has a choice between a vegetarian dinner or a steak dinner.
Ratling [72]
Using the graph that is included, look at the points given. For example (30, 3). There would be 30 vegetarian dishes and 3 steak dinners for a total of 33 meals. If that is plugged into the cost equation 20(30)+3(30) it would equal $690. The next point (33, 1) would cost 20(33) + 30(1) = $690 and but gives 34 meals. However, 34 vegetarian meals would only cost 20(34)=$680 and have 34 meals.

If both types of meals need to be purchased, 33 vegetarians and 1 steak. If only vegetarians are purchased, the cost is cheaper by $10.

use a graphing calculator to approximate the vertex of the graph of the parabola defined by the following equation. y=x^2+x+6
stepladder [879]

Answer:

(-1/2, 23/4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Vertex of graph: -b/2a

b=1

a=1

Therefore, -1/2 is your x-value

Solve for y: y=1/4-1/2+6

y=5 3/4 or 23/4

Therefore your vertex is: (-1/2, 23/4)
