Cara monitors a snail in her aquarium. She notes that this morning it crawled 1 inch up the glass. A few hours later it crawled

another 2 inches up the glass. Later it crawled 4 inches down the glass. How far is the snail from where it started?

Answer: hmm I think it would be one inch back where it was before

Explanation: It crawled 3 inches up together then crawled 4 inches down. Which if we go up 3 then back down 4 the snail lands in the same place it was before.
