The factors that caused the war of Indochina were: the end of the Second World War, which brought as a consequence the surrender of Japan and the withdrawal of its troops from the territory and the emergence of a communist guerrilla that declared the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The president of France, de Gaulle, sent troops to reestablish control over the territory. The proposal was for Vietnam to become independent and become part of the French Union.
