1. This is one confusing question... But here is what I did
x = 2y + 1
y = 3y^{2} + 2x

So plug in Y to solve for X
x = 2 (3y^{2} + 2x) + 1
x = -2y^{2} - \frac{1}{3}
Not sure if that's completely correct, but I'm positive I didn't make any mistakes...

The New York Knicks played the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden. There were 16,684 fans in attendance. If 63% of the fans
oksian1 [2.3K]
Answer: 10511

The reason being you need to convert 63% to a decimal which would be 0.63

Then you would multiply 0.63 * 16684

And then you would get 10510.92 but you would up because you cannot have .9 of a fan

tisha and megan have the same number of stickers. if tisha gives 1/3 of her stickers to megan, what will the ratio of tisha's st
FromTheMoon [43]

Tisha:Megan ratio 1:1

assume they both have 6 stickers so ratio = 6:6 total stickers = 12

1/3 of 6 = 2 which is given to Megan so ratio is now 4:8

so ratio of Tisha:Megan = 1:2

If six people decide to come to a basketball game, but three of them are only 2/5 sure that they will stay for the entire time (
exis [7]

Answer:

the probability that at the end, at least 5 people stayed the entire time = 0.352

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, 3 of the people are sure to stay the whole time. So, we'll deduct 3 from 6.which leaves us with 3 that are only 2/5 or 0.4 sure that they will stay the whole time.

Thus, what we need to compute to fulfill the probability that at the end, at least 5 people stayed the entire time of which we know 3 will stay, so for the remaining 3,we'll compute;

P[≥2] which is x~bin(3,0.4)

Thus;

P(≥2) = (C(3,2) x 0.4² x 0.6) + (C(3,3) x 0.4³)

P(≥2) = 0.288 + 0.064

P(≥2) = 0.352
