The chorus' story serves at least two purposes: reminding the audience of a well-known occurrence (thus providing a context for the plot), and a foreshadowing of another tragedy that is about to happen.</span>
Expository, which means that everything being said is based off of true facts. A newspaper gives you live coverage of what is happening around the world. Essays are nonfictional because you mostly write them based off of a document you have read. And biographies are made by THAT person it's written over.
