I think a representative form of government is even more important now than when the Constitutional Convention was meeting because today we have a more diverse composition of different individuals, ethnicities, ways of thinking, and backgrounds in the US society. A situation that is so much more different from what the founding fathers had when they framed the new Constitution of the United States in the so-called Constitutional Convention in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1787.

This diversity has created the necessity of plural representation that welcomes different ways of thinking and belief systems. Today, the United States is formed by a plural society that has many different necessities, aspirations, desires, issues, and concerns. That is why it is important that all voices can be heard and be represented in the United States Congress.
