I think that the answer to this question would be based off of your opinion because when you write poetry,most times, you are writing about your feelings and the way you express those feelings is different for everyone. Some people may have a harder time putting those feelings into words, while others might not.
It could possible be ironic because the rest of the world was technically already "discovered", but just not by the Europeans specifically. Therefore it is ironic, simply because they are Naive
