In "The Kite Runner," analyze the significance of the pomegranates and the pomegranate tree throughout the novel so far. What do
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

Amir and Hassan in "The kite runner" has been very good friends. Amir threw a pomegranate at Hassan in an effort to redempt his guilt. He was wishing for Hassan to hit Him back with the pomegranate and free him of his guilt. The pomegranate signifies the friendship of Amir and Hassan meaning that as the tree grows, so does their friendship grow.

Explanation:

The pomegranate tree helps  to understand the different characteristics of Hassan and Amir's friendship. The two characters would meet, play and also read books at the pomegranate tree. Their friendship and that of the tree grew simultaneously.

Their friendship was so strong that they carved on the pomegranate tree "Amir and hassan, the sultan of Kabul."

The pomegranate tree observed a change in their friendship. Following the Assault on hassan by Assef, Amir started feeling guilty for what He did and could no longer face the pomegranate tree. Amir threw what used to be the fruit of their friendship at Hassan out of guilt and pleaded for Hassan to hit him back so as to end His anguish.
