The overall population of the US has aged between the 2010 and 2020 censuses. The only age group to decline is 25-44. The fastest rising segment is 45-64

By definition, the age distribution, or also known as the age composition is simply ration of the population in terms of its age categories. In addition, the age distribution dramatically changed for the last 10 years as age brackets belonging to 25-44 years old declined while age bracket 45-64 continues to rise.
