Xy - 5 = k (move the known term to the right with changed sign)

xy = k + 5

Now we have x multiplied for y...to delete the y, divide both terms for y.

xy/y = (k+5)/y

x = (k+5)/y

3y + 5x = 7

Move 3y to the right with changed sign (this to make x the variable for which we solve the equation)

5x = 7 - 3y

Divide every term for 5

5x/5 = 7/5 - 3y/5

x = 7/5 - 3y/5

m/n = p-6

Multiply both terms for n, since we should delete the fraction m/n

m = pn-6n

Factor...

m = n(p-6)

to find n, move m to the right with changed sign.

Divide both for p-6

m/p-6 = n

n = m/p-6

F = 9c/5 + 32

9c/5 + 32 = F

Move 9c/5 to the left (don't change sign) to make it the default variable. And move all the rest to the right but changing sign.

9c/5 = f - 32

To delete the fraction, multiply every term for 5

9c = 5(f) + 32(5)

9c = 5f - 160

Divide both for 9

c = 5f/9 - 160/9

Tina has 1/4 of a cake. He divides it between his 6 friends. How much of the whole cake will each friend get?
klemol [59]
As Tina only has 1/4 of a cake. For simplicity sake we can do the calculation with a whole cake and then multiply by four!

First it is stated that cake is divided into six pieces, giving us our first number.
So,

6 x 4 = 24

This means that each friend will get 1/24th of the whole cake.

Alla [95]

Answer:

A not similar

Step-by-step explanation:

These triangles are not similar

<K would have to equal either angle E or D since angle F equals angle F

E = 50 and D = 58   and K = 49 so K does no equal E or D so they cannot be similar

A triangular prism is 40 millimeters long and has a triangular face with a base of 24 millimeters and a height of 35 millimeters
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

26,508

Step-by-step explanation:

To find out how to solve this is that we first need to know that Triangular prisms have their own formula for finding surface area because they have two triangular faces opposite each other. The formula A=12bh is used to find the area of the top and bases triangular faces, where A = area, b = base, and h = height.

Also: To find the total surface area of a prism, you need to calculate the area of two polygonal bases, the top face and bottom face. And then calculate the area of lateral faces connecting the bases. Add up the area of the two bases and the area of the lateral faces to get the total surface area of a prism.

The top= 12 x 24 x 35 = 10,080

The lateral faces: 12 x 37 x 37 = 16,428

Surface Area= 10,080 + 16,428 = 26,508
