Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the missing value to make sure it averages out to 250.

So they will be 5 rounds of different scores.

Since we dealing with averages, we need to set up a

equalivent equation to 250. We would add up all our previous scores and try to find the new x score and divide it by 5 and set it equal to 250. So our equation will look like.

Let x represent of our next game.

\frac{236 + 274 + 246 + 236 + x}{5}  = 250

Multiply by 5 both sides

236 + 274 + 246 +236 +  x = 1250

992 + x = 1250

x = 258

d is the answer

Please help me with this
alexandr1967 [171]

Seems like I've done a few of these already today.

1.

a[1] = 4, d=6

Formula: a[n] = 4 + 6(n-1)

a[40]=4 + 6(39) = 238

Table: 4 10 16 22 28 34   ...   a[40]=238

--------

2.

a[23]=25, d=3

a[n] = a[1] + d(n-1)

25=a[23]=a[1] + 3(22)

a[1] = 25 - 66 = -41

Table: -41 -38 -35 -32 -29 -26

Let's check a[23]= -41 + 3(22)= 25, good

Formula: a[n] = -41 + 3(n-1)

adoni [48]

Answer:

The probability that the server is busy is P=0.56.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a quieing theory problem with M/M/1

In queing theory, the probability of the server being busy can be expressed as:

P=\frac{\lambda}{\lambda+\mu}

being μ: the time between services and λ: the time between customers arrival.

Then we can calculate:

P=\frac{\lambda}{\lambda+\mu}=\frac{\frac{1}{28} }{\frac{1}{28}+\frac{1}{35}  } =\frac{0.036}{0.036+0.029}=0.56

The probability that the server is busy is P=0.56.
