Answer:

4:1

Step-by-step explanation:

We know 1/5 of the marbles are red.

There are 10 marbles.

1/5 is also 2/10, so:

2 of the 10 marbles are red.

To find the blue marbles, lets subtract the red marbles from the total marbles:

10-2=8

So 8 of the marbles are blue.

This is a ratio of 8 blue to 2 red marbles.

Or

4 blue to 1 red marbles.

This can be shown as:

4 : 1

Hope this helps!

Find the value of each variable.
insens350 [35]

Step-by-step explanation:

11)

x= 5

{y}^{2}  = 2 \times  {5}^{2}  \\  {y}^{2}  = 50 \\ y = 5 \sqrt{2}

12)

\tan(30 )  =  \frac{9}{y}  \\ y =  \frac{9}{ \tan(30) }  = 9 \sqrt{3}  \\  {x}^{2}  =  {9}^{2}  +  {(9 \sqrt{3} )}^{2}  \\  {x}^{2}  = 324 \\ x = 18

13)

\sin(60)  =  \frac{x}{22}  \\ x = 11 \sqrt{3}  \\  \cos(60)  =  \frac{y}{22}  \\ y = 11

14)

{16}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  \\ x = y \\  {16}^{2}  = 2 {x}^{2}  \\ x = 8 \sqrt{2}  \\ y = 8 \sqrt{2}

15)

\tan(30)  =  \frac{x}{42}  \\ x = 14 \sqrt{3}  \\   \cos(30)  = \frac{42}{y}  \\ y =  \frac{42}{ \cos(30) }  \\ y = 28 \sqrt{3}

16)

{(19 \sqrt{2}) }^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  \\ x = y \\ 722 = 2 {x}^{2}  \\  {x}^{2}  = 361 \\ x = 19 \\ y = 19

Which is the most reasonable estimate for the height of a two-story house 15 centimeters, 15 meters,or 15 kilometers?
Eddi Din [679]
The most reasonable estimate for the height of a two-story house is "15 meters".

The 15 centimeters is not reasonable, it is too small. While the 15 kilometers is not also reasonable since it is too big. Kilometers is used for long distance.

Answer:

r = 4b + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

As b is the independent variable, r must be the dependent variable which should be on the left by itself in function notation.

Rearranging 16b = 4r - 12

4r = 16b + 12

r = 4b + 3
