Define bicameral and describe why the legislative was created to be bicameral
xxMikexx [17]
A bicameral legislature means there are two houses. For example, in the US, the two houses are the Senate the House of Representatives.
There are several reasons why the US legislature is bicameral. One is because the Framers, those who constructed the Constitution, got the idea from British Parliament and other past societies. Another reason is because of the Connecticut compromise, or the Great Compromise, where the New Jersey Plan and the Virginia Plan were compromised over so that states and people had equal but rational representation. The Senate has 100 members, two per state, so that states are represented equally, regardless of populations. The House, however, which now has 435 members, is made up of representatives who represent an equal amount of people. For example, California has 55 HoR reps and two Senators, but Montana has one rep and two Senators.

What are some "simpler pleasures" that people found during the early 1930s and our society's dependence on material goods, wealt
dlinn [17]
Some simpler pleasures of the 1930’s included many things. One example is the fact that jazz was popular during this time. Many people listened to it on their radio. Board games like Monopoly and Scrabble came out in the 30’s so people enjoyed these games for entertainment too. Some simpler pleasures in today’s world are the devices we use on a daily basis. Social media keeps us occupied quite often and the good thing about that is that it comes straight from a small screen.
