Answer:

what is a recessive disorder?... A recessive disorder is basically a autosomal recessive disorder, you generally inherit two mutated Genes...A person who has this disorder inherits this from one each parent. These disorders are usually passed on by two carriers. The persons health is rarely affected, but they do have one mutated gene (recessive gene) and including one normal gene (dominant gene) for this condition.

The model shows the process of binary fission.
slava [35]

Answer:

The correct option is B) Binary fission maintains genetic continuity because the daughter cells contain the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell.

Explanation:

Genetic continuity can be described as a fact that the daughter cells have the same amount and same type of genome as the parent cell. It includes the transfer of parental traits to children.

Binary fission can be described as a process of division which bacteria divides. Two daughter cells are produced as a result of binary fission. Each daughter cell is identical to the parent cell and hence maintains genetic continuity.

Which would most likely produce a mutation that is passed on to offspring
melisa1 [442]
You didn't give the options for "which" but I assume your multiple choice questions will all be environmental factors that can cause mutations. To pass on to offspring, any mutation in the gametes or a chromosome may cause a mutation in the offspring.
