Read the following scenario. Then answer the question based on this scenario. Harper is a two-year-old girl in an Early Head Sta

rt classroom. She was born six weeks premature, and both she and her mother tested positive for cocaine at birth. Harper was diagnosed with developmental delay and was placed in a foster home during the period in which the mother successfully completed a drug treatment program. Harper thrived in her responsive and caring foster care home, where she had nurturing care with many opportunities for sensory experiences. She also received developmental therapy services through the state early intervention program. At 18 months, Harper was reunited with her mother and has attended Early Head Start for six months. Assessment at the Early Head Start indicates that Harper is meeting all of her developmental milestones. Harper can run and jump, has a vocabulary of 100 or more words, can help pull up her diaper, and is beginning toilet training. You learned about nature versus nurture. This foster home is an example of which?
A. Nurture
B. Lessening the effects of teratogens
C. Equal portions of nurture and nature

The correct option is A.
There are two factors which are considered to be affecting child development, they are nature and nurture. Nature refers to the genetic make up of the child while nurture refers to the environmental factors which influence a child development and learning. In the question given above, the foster home is an example of nurture and it has influence on the development and learning of Harper.<span />

svp [43]

Answer:

Well this is just my opinion

I want to learn more life lessons. I think it is important for classes to teach thing that we will use later in life. I think learning how to do taxes will benefit the class so when we get older we don't commit tax fraud. I think money management is a great way to have us use are knowledge of money we already have and we can learn to save money. There are a lot of benefits of learning life lessons. In my opinion life lessons are important for everyone to learn at some point in there life but it's better to learn them at a younger age.
