Explain why Ralph Nader believed that a consumer rights movement was necessary.
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

As the corporations were expanding beyond borders and were becoming multi-national power houses with immense financial power and political influence, the individual consumers, native people in business areas and communities and the natural environment was at risk of being neglected by these "super" corporations and their "unchecked" activities.

Because of this, the consumers needed proper legal and political protection to protect their economic and environmental interests.

It was because of this that a strong consumer rights movement was deemed necessary by many activists.

Based on the characteristics of a sovereign state, which of the following is considered a true state? Four Characteristics of a
RSB [31]

Correct answer: C) France

North America is a continent geographically.  It is not all under a single government.

Los Angeles has significant population and some territorial size, but its city government is not sovereign.  It is under a state government (California) and a national government (the United States).

Similarly, Texas -- at this point in history -- is not independently sovereign, but is one of the 50 states that make up the USA as a true state with all the characteristics listed.  There was a time in Texas' history when it was a sovereign state on its own -- during the years of the Republic of Texas, which existed from 1836 to 1846.

In what way did the United States fight world war 2 on multiple fronts
andre [41]

Answer:

US forces fought in Europe together with Great Britain, Canada, France and other allies in the Western Front against Nazi Germany and her allies. At the same time, it fought against the Japanese in the Pacific. So, it was a two-front war for American armed forces. In neither of them there was a defined line for  a long time (just as it had hapened in WWI). Because the campaign involved air, naval and land battles or operations, it is a war fought on multiple fronts in both the Pacific and the European theaters.
