Which of the following is a true statement about the equation y= -7/8x+10

Mathematics

-BARSIC- [3]3 years ago

First of all we can rule out that the slope is 10. The coefficient before the x term is not 10 so the answer is not a.

Following on what I said for option a, option b is correct as the coefficient before the x term is -7/8. Therefore the answer is B.

The answer is not C as when x = 0, y is not 0. This means the line does not pass through the origin (0,0)

Option D is not true aswell. When x = 1, y= 9.125. When x= 2, y= 8.25. When x=3, y= 7.375. X is increasing whereas y is decreasing. Therefore option D is ruled out.

The answer is option B.

I hope this has helped you.

Jet001 [13]
This is how a triangle is equal to one another, SAS is side angle side, AA is angle angle, ASA is angle side angle, and SSS is side side side, yours looks like AA but I might be wrong. I believe it is AA, so if you have no clue just go with AA

Drag steps in the given order to evaluate this
expression.
(-5)(2) – 2(-3) + 3
sesenic [268]

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

using PEDMAS(parentheses, exponents, division, multiply, addition, subtraction) to solve the problem

First, multiply (-5)(2) and 2(-3)

(-5)(2) – 2(-3) + 3

=-10-(-6)+3

=-10+6+3

add -10+6

-4+3

Add -4+3

-4+3

=-1

Therefore, (-5)(2) – 2(-3) + 3 is equal to -1

Eric has $25 to purchase magazines and to pay for his lunch. Each
faust18 [17]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

The maximum amount Eric can spend on magazines is $25 less the cost of lunch, $15.

The appropriate inequality sign would be less than since he cannot spend more than $25.

Also, the amount he can spend on magazines would be what is left after paying for lunch.

So the correct inequality is 4m - 15 < 25
