Answer:

a = 2

b = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

In parallelogram opposite sides are equal.

4a +  b  = 2a + 8

4a - 2a + b = 8

      2a + b = 8 -----------------(I)

             b = 8 - 2a

11b - 10a = 6b

11b - 6b -10a = 0

5b - 10a = 0 ---------(II)

Substitute b = 8 - 2a  in equation (II)

5*(8-2a) - 10a = 0

5*8 - 2a * 5 - 10a = 0

     40 - 10a - 10a = 0

      40 - 20a       = 0

                  -20a = - 40

                       a = -40/-20

                      a = 2

Plugin a = 2 in equation (I)

2*2 + b = 8

4 + b   = 8

       b = 8 -4

      b = 4

The acceleration of the particle is given by the formula mentioned below:

a=\frac{d^2s}{dt^2}

Differentiate the position vector with respect to t.

\begin{gathered} \frac{ds(t)}{dt}=\frac{d}{dt}\sqrt[]{\mleft(t^3+1\mright)} \\ =-\frac{1}{2}(t^3+1)^{-\frac{1}{2}}\times3t^2 \\ =\frac{3}{2}\frac{t^2}{\sqrt{(t^3+1)}} \end{gathered}

Differentiate both sides of the obtained equation with respect to t.

\begin{gathered} \frac{d^2s(t)}{dx^2}=\frac{3}{2}(\frac{2t}{\sqrt[]{(t^3+1)}}+t^2(-\frac{3}{2})\times\frac{1}{(t^3+1)^{\frac{3}{2}}}) \\ =\frac{3t}{\sqrt[]{(t^3+1)}}-\frac{9}{4}\frac{t^2}{(t^3+1)^{\frac{3}{2}}} \end{gathered}

Substitute t=2 in the above equation to obtain the acceleration of the particle at 2 seconds.

\begin{gathered} a(t=1)=\frac{3}{\sqrt[]{2}}-\frac{9}{4\times2^{\frac{3}{2}}} \\ =1.32ft/sec^2 \end{gathered}

The initial position is obtained at t=0. Substitute t=0 in the given position function.

\begin{gathered} s(0)=-23\times0+65 \\ =65 \end{gathered}

Answer this question Angie and her friends are 3/4 of a pizza.Her brother joe ate 2/3 of what was left.How much did joe eat?
Alja [10]
If Angie and her friends ate 3/4 of a pizza, that means that 1/4 is left.
Joe ate 2/3 of 1/4 of a pizza. To find out how much he ate, multiply 1/4 by 2/3.

\frac{1}{4}* \frac{2}{3}= \frac{2}{12} because you multiply fractions straight across.

Your answer is 2/12 or <em>1/6 of the pizza</em>

Answer:

exponent of x is 33

exponent of y is 0

Step-by-step explanation:

you need to combine all powers (exponents) of x, and all exponents of y separately.

remember : x to the power of a divided by x to the power of b is x to the power of (a-b).

when multiplying, the "-" turns into a "+".

so, we have actually for x the exponent calculation :

8 - 14 -(-39) = 8 - 14 + 39 = 33

so, x³³ remains.

and for the y exponents

-26 -(-5) -(-21) = -26 + 5 + 21 = 0

so, all the y expressions eliminate each other and y⁰ remains.

Eggplant has a yield of 81%. If you purchase 12lb of eggplant, how many pounds will you be able to use?(round to the nearest hun
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

9.72 lb

Step-by-step explanation:

Yield = the amount or quantity produced or returned.

Given:

  • Yield of eggplant = 81%
  • Amount of eggplant purchased = 12 lb

To determine how many pounds of eggplant you will be able to use, calculate 81% of the amount of eggplant purchased.

\begin{aligned}\sf 81\% \: of \: 12 \: lb & = \sf \dfrac{81}{100} \cdot 12\\\\& = \sf  \dfrac{81 \cdot 12}{100}\\\\& = \sf \dfrac{972}{100}\\\\& = \sf 9.72\:lb\end{aligned}

Therefore, you will be able to use 9.72 lb (nearest hundredth).
