how does the sun compare to the other stars on the main sequence with regard to temperature and luminosity?
timama [110]

Answer:

The nuclear reaction rate is very sensitive to temperature so that even a slight increase in temperature makes the nuclear reactions occur at a MUCH higher rate. This means that a star's luminosity increases a lot if the temperature is higher.

1. What is the original source of energy in the food you eat?
guajiro [1.7K]

Photosynthesis is similar to cellular respiration in the sense that the equation of one is the reverse of the equation of the other.

The original source of energy that is introduced into the ecosystem comes from the sun. This energy is passed along the food chain.

The equation that models cellular respiration is the equation; C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6H2O + 6CO2 + Energy. Recall that cellular respiration involves the breakdown of glucose in the presence of oxygen. The compound that is involved in cellular respiration is oxygen.

The Calvin cycle is the light-independent (does not need light) step of photosynthesis and happens in the stroma.

The products of photosynthesis are carbon dioxide and water as we can see from the reaction; 6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2.

Electrolysis does not form a part of cellular respiration. Glycolysis,  electron transport chain and the Krebs cycle are steps of cellular respiration.

The events shown in the picture occurs in the chloroplasts. The image shown the biochemical processes involved in photosynthesis.

During cellular respiration, glucose is split into its constituent molecules which are water and carbon dioxide when it reacts with oxygen.

The equation of photosynthesis is the reverse of the equation of cellular respiration.
