The best known piece composed by Ravel is Boléro. At the time of the composition, (1928) Joseph Maurice Ravel was considered as France´s most imortant living composer. Ravel was one of the first composers to use recordings to take their work to a greater public.

prosperity and hardships for the United States.
The early twenties showed a period of prosperity as many people enjoyed
many luxuries until the crash of the stock market which ushered the Great
Depression where many people lost their jobs as well as their savings. Yet through government programs and the
resilience of the American people, they were able to overcome it. The forties show America entered World War II
where it had triumphed over the Axis Powers.
Following the end of the Second World War, ushered in another period of
prosperity. What I have learned is that
through the good times and the bad, the citizens of the U.S. always weather out
the storm of terrible times and triumph in the end.
Assuming you're referring to the same time period as before, compared with the rest of Europe, northern Italy had many "trading routes" that stretched far beyond the confines of the country itself.
