To create the flower gardens, Wendell bought six pieces of wood. Pieces A and B are 6 feet long, pieces C and D are 8 feet long,

piece E is 3 feet long, and piece F is 2 feet long.
Part A
Can Wendell make a triangular garden using pieces A, B, and F? Why or why not?

Part B
Can Wendell make a triangular garden using pieces D, E, and F? Why or why not?

Part C
Can Wendell make a rectangular garden with the pieces of wood he has? If yes, which pieces can he use?

Part D
Describe how Wendell can use all six pieces of wood to create either two rectangular gardens or two triangular gardens. Assume the gardens do not share a common side.

Part E
Wendell’s dog, Jordan, was getting in his way as he worked in the backyard. So, Wendell chained him to a pole. If the chain is 12 feet long, about how much area does Jordan have to walk around?

Don't bother to answer if you're not gonna get them right or just guessing.

The Fall Festival charges $0.75 per ticket for the rides. Kendall bought 18 tickets for rides and spent a total of $33.50 at the
PIT_PIT [208]

Part (a)

The variable y is the dependent variable and the variable x is the independent variable.

Part (b)

The cost of one ticket is $0.75. Therefore, the cost of 18 tickets will be:

0.75\times 18=13.5 dollars

Now, we know that Kendall spent her money only on ride tickets and fair admission and that she spent a total of $33.50.

Therefore, the price of the fair admission is: $33.50-$13.50=$20

If we use y to represent the total cost and x to represent the number of ride tickets, the linear equation that can be used to determine the cost for anyone who only pays for ride tickets and fair admission can be written as:

y=0.75x+20......Equation 1

Part (c)

The above equation is logical because, in general, the total cost of the rides will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought and that will be 0.75x. Now, even if one does not take any rides, that is when x=0, they still will have to pay for the fair admission, and thus their total cost, y=$20.

Likewise, any "additional" cost will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought as already suggested. Thus, the total cost will be the sum of the total ride ticket cost and the fixed fair admission cost. Thus, the above Equation 1 is the correct representative linear equation of the question given.

Answer:

The answer is 1/8 pints left

Step-by-step explanation:

If you had 3/4 pints already and you poured 5/8 pints into your glass, you would only have 1/8 pints left. First you need to make them both have the same denominator (8) to do that you need to multiply 3/4(2)=6/8. 6/8-5/8=1/8 pints left.

The box plots show the math scores of students in two different classes. Based on the box plots, which statement is correct?
Allisa [31]

Based on the box plots, the statement which is correct is that: A. The median score of Class A is greater than the median score of Class B.

What is a box and whisker plot?

In Mathematics, a box plot is also referred to as box and whisker plot and it can be defined as a type of chart that can be used to graphically or visually represent the five-number summary of a data set with respect to locality, skewness, and spread.

Additionally, the five-number summary of any box plot (box and whisker plot) include the following:

 1. Minimum
 2. First quartile
 3. Median
 4. Third quartile
 5. Maximum

By critically observing the box plot (box and whisker plot) which represent the math scores of students in in two different classes, we can reasonably and logically deduce the following median scores;

Median score of class A = 80

Median score of class B = 75

Therefore, a median score of 80 in Class A is greater than the median score of 75 in Class B.
