Rewrite the following paragraphs, correcting all fragments and run-ons.
disa [49]

The storm had suddenly come upon them, surprising the two boys. Their jackets offered little protection from the rain. Jack led the way to the cabin; it was almost hidden by the trees. Within minutes they stood on the porch. The door opened and they entered, throwing their backpacks on to the floor. They shivered; the room was cold. Worse, it was damp.

They could not see in the darkness, so Jack felt for the lantern, which he knew was on the table. If they had started out earlier, they would not have been caught in the rain and unable to reach the cabin before the night. A warm fire and supper would certainly help.

When the lantern was lit, Jack gasped. The doors to the cupboard, which his father had filled, were opened, revealing empty shelves. Walking back on to the porch, he stared at the empty place where wood had been stacked.

Obviously, someone had been warm and well-fed at their expense. Phil, he knew, would accept his apology. That was a small consolation for the uncomfortable night they would have. At lease a lesson had been learned; next time he would prepare for any emergency that might occur.

3. Find an idea and simplify it

4. Don't tell it, show it

5. Maintain structure

6. Don't give all the information, suggest it

7. Keep the suspense

8. Environment with little

Explanation:

<em> "It was  Sunday afternoon . I was washing my cloths near wang chhu, when suddenly I dropped my favorite shirt into the river. </em>

<em>  I had that shirt for a long time and it meant a lot to me, so I had to get it back. </em>

<em>I couldn't get into the river because I can't swim, so I had to think about doing something quick before losing it. </em>

<em>Suddenly I saw a long branch that I could use, I approached the bank of the river and stretched as much as I could until I could finally reach my shirt. </em>

<em>From that moment I was always very careful when washing clothes in the river."</em>

Which of the following is an example of a fact?
Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

The first answer is correct

Explanation:

Think about it, to make maple sap what must you do. first, you boil it down, that is a fact, that what you have to do to make It. The fact that everyone puts maple syrup in their coffee is just an opinion, obviously you aren't going to go around asking everyone you see if they put maple syrup in their coffee, things like Sugar, and other sweeteners. As for the third answer, yes maple syrup may be a delicious alternative to cane sugar, but not everyone thinks that, it's the same up above, you aren't going to ask everyone you see about it. the fourth and final answer is  hard to pinpoint. It can in fact take several weeks to gather maple syrup, but in the end it's "worth it to some people" and "not to other." Hope this helps.
