Answer:

One of the most amazing aspects of the monarch annual migration is the fact that each generation of monarch follows the same path even though they didn't flew with members of the last generation. Some other amazing aspects are: monarchs only flight during the day so they need to find congregation sites to spend the night close to each other; when monarchs are going to cross open water distance they wait until a gentle breeze help them to start flying; and that it takes 3 to 4 generations of monarchs to reach the northern United States and Canada regions.

34kurt

Answer:

<em>The correct option is D)  studying how the mayfly population affects the number of trout in a stream .</em>

Explanation:

In general, ecology can be described as the study of the interaction of organisms with the biotic and abiotic components of an ecosystem. It is the study of the interaction of organisms with one another and with their biophysical environment. The statement mentioned in option D shows the interaction between the mayfly population and the trout population. Hence, it is the option which would directly be related to the science of ecology.

Identify the independent and dependent variables in the following hypothesis: "People who exercise regularly are more likely to
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

Independent; dependent.

Explanation:

A hypothesis is demonstrated as the base on which a scientific experiment stands as it helps in explaining the association between the two variables that validates the truth of the conclusion.

As per the question, 'exercise' would be characterized as the 'independent' variable while 'weight' would be the 'dependent' variable. <u>The 'exercise patterns' are independent and can be manipulated or controlled simultaneously to observe its impact on the dependent variable i.e. 'weight' and deduce a worthy conclusion.</u> Therefore, <u>'independent; dependent'</u> is the correct answer.
