Answer:  I think President Monroe justified his foreign policy pronouncement in 1823 by arguing that the young American nation would not tolerate foreign interference in our hemisphere, and any possible intrusion on a person's territory by a european power would be considered as endangering our peace and happiness.

In contrast to the American Revolution, the French Revolution
aleksley [76]

Answer: B is correct.

Explanation: but B is correct only in certain period of the Revolution. For example in 1789 nobody anticipated a republican form government. At the very beginning of the revolution the main aim was to limit king´s powers (inspiration from Britain) and introduce constitutional monarchy. There was no intention to destroy the order, aristocracy, monarchy. There were people who wanted revolution but soon saw that things were going out of their hands (Mirabeau, Lafayette and others). It was especially during "Reign of Terror (Robespierre) where one can see an attempt to re-create society from scratch. That is something we cannot find in American Revolution.

Were knights lower than vassals and held little prestige in medieval society
netineya [11]
Knights were indeed lower than vassals and held less prestige in medieval society. It's not true though, that knights didn't have enough prestige in medieval society. Vassals swore to the king or the ruler of a region, whereas knights often swore to vassals, so they still had people under them, but they were not at the top.
