Question is talking about reflection of the triangle JKL to triangle J'K'L'. But the picture of reflection is missing.

So I will explain with an example.

Say the original coordinate of point K is (5,2).

Now we see that K(5,2) is changed into K'(-5,2)

Notice that only x-coordinate 5 is changing to -5.

When only x-coordinate changes then that means reflection is happening about y-axis

If only y-value changes then it occurs due to reflection about x-axis.

You can use these results in original picture to find the correct answer.

9x^2 + 6x -1 =0 (Round to the nearest hundredth)
hodyreva [135]
9x^2 + 6x = 1
Factor out 3x
3x (3x +2)=1
Use the zero product property
3x=1
3x+2 = 1
X= +1/3 and -1/3

The sum of the areas of two circles is 80 pi
katovenus [111]
The area of a circle is A = πr^2. We let A1 And A2 the areas of the circles and r1 and r2 the radius of each, respectivley.

A1 + A2 = 80π
Substitute the formula for the area,
π(r1)^2 + π (r2)^2 = 80π

From the statement, we know that r2=2(r1).

π(r1)^2 + π (2 x r1)^2 = 80π
We can cancel π, we will have

5 x (r1)^2 = 80
Thus,

r1 = 4 and r2 = 8

On the pie chart below, which “slice” red presents 30% of the budget?
salantis [7]

B. 2

1 is way too big, 4 is way too small, 3 is clearly less than a fourth of the pie chart, so it must be 2.
