Answer:

The Homestead Act was intended to allow those who did not fight agaist the Union the opportunity to develope land, build a home on it and start over. Those that served for the Union Army were granted land at a lower rate. This helped to develop areas that were not developed, rebuild the South and give slaves a chanve at owning land

Explanation:

The Homestead Act, enacted during the Civil War in 1862, provided that any adult citizen, or intended citizen, who had never borne arms against the U.S. government could claim 160 acres of surveyed government land. Claimants were required to “improve” the plot by building a dwelling and cultivating the land.

Did the Renaissance involve shifts in religious attitudes?
guajiro [1.7K]
Yes there were a lot of shifts in the attitude why? well we know that the Renaissance times had a lot to do with drawings learning and just opening up the world a lot more. Lets just take the situation in the Papal states the drawings had much in it that the church did not like, because of that the Pope Julius II demanded to take it back to Italy were the drawing originally came from but after that happened a lot of people were unhappy and disagreed with the church that was one of the first time since the Dark ages that the church started to loose power. So yes the renaissance times did involve multiple changes in religion hope i helped. Good luck :)
