Answer:

Explanation:A variable within a scientific experiment is something that is changed (i.e. it varies). There should be only one manipulated variable within a scientific experiment so that the experimenter can be certain it is this variable which causes a pattern in the resultant data, if any exists at all. If there were multiple variables, then the experimenter would not know what accounted for the results of the experiment.

For example, say an experimenter was testing the respiration rate of goldfish. He had three goldfish each in five different tanks. He increased the salt concentration in each tank by one tablespoon. He increased the temperature within each tank by intervals of ten degrees. All the fish in tank five die. Becuase the scientist changed more than one variable, he is not able to determine if the death of the fish was due to the high salt concentration or high temperature.

Testing only one variable at a time lets you analyze the results of your experiment to see how much a single change affected the result. If you're testing two variables at a time, you won't be able to tell which variable was responsible for the result.

Simple carbohydrates are good for you. Your body can break them down and they are good sources of nutrients. Complex carbohydrates are things that aren’t necessarily as good for you. It takes longer for your body to break them down.

Sugar beets (Beta vulgaris) are a major crop in the Red River Valley of the North. Why do you think the beets have to be harvest
makvit [3.9K]

Sugar beet harvest

Explanation:

Sugar beets have to be harvested and stockpiled in September because they have to get the root out of the ground before the ground freezes

 • Sugar beets are harvested with two primary pieces of equipment
 • The defoliator removes the green leaves and slices a slab from the top of the sugar beet root
 • This removed slab is the growing point of the sugar beet and contains high levels of impurities, which impede the factories ability to extract the sugar from the remainder of the harvested root
 • The sugar beet root is then harvested with a pinch wheel harvester, which pinches the root and lifts from the soil
 • The sugar beet harvester also separates some soil and conveys the sugar beet into a truck to be transported to a receiving station

erica [24]
Well if they were identical to their parent plants then the plants reproduced asexually (asexual reproduction) meaning that the offspring came from one parent making the offspring have the same genetic make up, like clones
