1.) what is the optimal pH for pepsin? where is pepsin found?
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer: 1. The digestive power of pepsin is greatest at the acidity of normal gastric juice (pH 1.5–2.5). 1.0–2.0

The optimum pH for pepsin activity of 1.0–2.0 is maintained in the stomach by HCl. When the pH of the medium increases to values greater than 3.0, pepsin is almost completely inactivated. 2.  The optimum pH for the enzymatic activity of salivary amylase ranges from 6 to 7. Above and below this range, the reaction rate reduces as enzymes get denatured. The enzyme salivary amylase is most active at pH 6.8.  around 7

Salivary α‐amylase has a short‐lived action. In fact, it is swallowed with chewed food and subsequently inactivated by extremely low gastric pH; amylase in fact has an optimal pH around 7, and the pH of saliva is generally between 6.4 and 7.0.

Describe how cancer cells are different from other cells. Based on that, explain why cancer is so hard to cure.
Juli2301 [7.4K]
Cancer cells are cells that basically bypass any sort of regulatory processes in the cell cycle (and mitosis - the splitting of the cell). This leads to uncontrollable cell growth/duplication which hence leads to more and more cancerous cells. Cancer itself is so hard to cure for a couple of different reasons. If the cells are in the form of a benign tumor, that is a tumor that does not spread from its original infected tissue, it should be "easy" to remove with surgery. However, if it metastasizes, or spreads into surrounding tissues through the lymph or blood systems, then it becomes even harder to remove because of its far reach and complex structure. Also, cancer cells can be simply described as normal body cells that have gone rogue. That being said, things such as antibiotics, that are designed to get rid of foreign bodies, cannot get rid of cancerous cells without getting rid of most of your regular body cells as well simply because they cannot tell the difference.

What events cause succession to take place
deff fn [24]

Answer:

please give me brainlist and follow

Explanation:

Primary succession occurs when new land is formed or bare rock is exposed, providing a habitat that can be colonized for the first time. For example, primary succession may take place following the eruption of volcanoes, such as those on the Big Island of Hawaii. As lava flows into the ocean, new rock is formed.
