Ok so the rectangle is 12x6 which is 72. The entire top part is 18 which means the other triangle side is 6. 6x6 = 36 so 72+36 is 108

Easy!

Okay, just add both areas!
12x6=72
6x6/2= 18

72+18=90km

Researchers have a sample size of 24 , and they are using the Student's t-distribution. What are the degrees of freedom and how
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

For this case assuming that the random variable is X

df = n-1

And replacing n = 24 we got:

df = 24-1=23

And we notate the distribution we got: X \sim t_{n-1}= t_{23}

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

The t distribution (Student’s t-distribution) is a "probability distribution that is used to estimate population parameters when the sample size is small (n<30) or when the population variance is unknown".

The shape of the t distribution is determined by its degrees of freedom and when the degrees of freedom increase the t distirbution becomes a normal distribution approximately.

The degrees of freedom represent "the number of independent observations in a set of data. For example if we estimate a mean score from a single sample, the number of independent observations would be equal to the sample size minus one."

Solution to the problem

For this case assuming that the random variable is X

df = n-1

And replacing n = 24 we got:

df = 24-1=23

And we notate the distribution we got: X \sim t_{n-1}= t_{23}

What is the solution to the given system of equations?
bixtya [17]

Depends, what was given for x? For example, 4 times the number given for x minus 3 would be the coordinate and the negative number given for x minus 13 would be your coordinate, I hope this helped you solve it :) if not put the number given for x

The distants around the edge of the pool is 38 feet. What is the area the pool with cover
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

114.93 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

\pi  = 3.14

Given formula to find the area:

\pi  * r^2

Find radius first:

Circumference = \pi  * 2 * r

The circumference in this situation would be 38 feet.

38ft = \pi  * 2 * r

38 ft = 3.14 * 2 * r

3.14 * 2 = 6.28

38ft = 6.28 * r

Since we need to find radius, do division to 38 by 6.28.

38ft / 6.28 = 6.05

Our radius is 6.05

Now back to the original formula which is:

\pi  * r^2

Substitute:

A = 3.14 * 6.05^2

6.05^2 = 36.6

A = 3.14 * 36.6

==> 114.93ft
