Mrs. Bamjee was persistent in her dedication to both the anti- apartheid movement and for her family as being on hunger strike she reminds Girlie about Bamjee’s birthday suggesting that Mrs. Bamjee is a shining light in the dark place and who is willing to give her life in her fight for the blacks.
