More than $70 billion is spent each year in the drive-thru lanes of America’s fast-food restaurants. Having quick, accurate, and

friendly service at a drive-thru window translates directly into revenue for the restaurant According to Jack Greenberg, former CEO of McDonald’s, sales increase 1% for every six seconds saved at the drive-thru. So industry executives, stockholders, and analysts closely follow the ratings of fast-food drive-thru lanes that appear annually in QSR, a publication that reports on the quick-service restaurant industry. The 2012 QSR magazine drive-thru study involved visits to a random sample of restaurants in the 20 largest fast-food chains in all 50 states. During each visit, the researcher ordered a modified main item (for example, a hamburger with no pickles), a side item, and a drink. If any item was not received as ordered, or if the restaurant failed to give the correct change or supply a straw and a napkin, then the order was considered "inaccurate." Service time, which is the time from when the car stopped at the speaker to when the entire order was received, was measured each visit. Researchers also recorded whether or not each restaurant had an order-confirmation board in its drive-thru.
Here are some results from the 2012 QSR study:

• For restaurants with order-confirmation boards, 1169 of 1327 visits (88.1%) resulted in accurate orders. For restaurants with no order-confirmation board, 655 of 726 visits (90.2%) resulted in accurate orders.

• McDonald’s average service time for 362 drive-thru visits was 188.83 seconds with a standard deviation of 17.38 seconds. Burger King’s service time for 318 drive-thru visits had a mean of 201.33 seconds and a standard deviation of 18.85 seconds.

a. Is there a significant difference in order accuracy between restaurants with and without order-confirmation boards? Carry out an appropriate test at the a = 0.05 level to help answer this question.

b Construct and interpret a 99% confidence interval for the difference in the mean service times at McDonald’s and Burger King drive-thrus.

At Munder Difflin Paper Company, the manager Mitchell Short randomly places golden sheets of paper inside of 30% of their paper
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

90.67% probability that John finds less than 7 golden sheets of paper

Step-by-step explanation:

For each container, there are only two possible outcomes. Either it contains a golden sheet of paper, or it does not. The probability of a container containing a golden sheet of paper is independent of other containers. So we use the binomial probability distribution to solve this question.

Binomial probability distribution

The binomial probability is the probability of exactly x successes on n repeated trials, and X can only have two outcomes.

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

In which C_{n,x} is the number of different combinations of x objects from a set of n elements, given by the following formula.

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

And p is the probability of X happening.

At Munder Difflin Paper Company, the manager Mitchell Short randomly places golden sheets of paper inside of 30% of their paper containers.

This means that p = 0.3

14 of these containers of paper.

This means that n = 14

What is the probability that John finds less than 7 golden sheets of paper?

P(X < 7) = P(X = 0) + P(X = 1) + P(X = 2) + P(X = 3) + P(X = 4) + P(X = 5) + P(X = 6)

In which

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

P(X = 0) = C_{14,0}.(0.3)^{0}.(0.7)^{14} = 0.0068

P(X = 1) = C_{14,1}.(0.3)^{1}.(0.7)^{13} = 0.0407

P(X = 2) = C_{14,2}.(0.3)^{2}.(0.7)^{12} = 0.1134

P(X = 3) = C_{14,3}.(0.3)^{3}.(0.7)^{11} = 0.1943

P(X = 4) = C_{14,4}.(0.3)^{4}.(0.7)^{10} = 0.2290

P(X = 5) = C_{14,5}.(0.3)^{5}.(0.7)^{9} = 0.1963

P(X = 6) = C_{14,6}.(0.3)^{6}.(0.7)^{8} = 0.1262

P(X < 7) = P(X = 0) + P(X = 1) + P(X = 2) + P(X = 3) + P(X = 4) + P(X = 5) + P(X = 6) = 0.0068 + 0.0407 + 0.1134 + 0.1943 + 0.2290 + 0.1963 + 0.1262 = 0.9067

Will give brainliest!!! hurry up and solve it plzz
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

we can say that AD is congruent to DC

so your equation for x is: 4x - 1 = 2x

solve this to get x = 0.5

plug x into and equation and multiply you answer by 2 to find the hypotenuse of triangle ABC and DEF

4(0.5) - 1 = 1

hypotenuse: 1 x 2 = 2

since we know x is 0.5, plug this into 4x + 1 to find the length of the leg FE,

4(0.5) + 1 = 3

In the diagram, it shows that the legs of triangle are congruent

this means that FE, ED, BA, and BC are all congruent

since we know FE is 3, we know that all the other sides are 3 as well

this means that the perimeter of the triangle is: leg + leg + hypotenuse

so 3 + 3 + 2

the perimeter is 8

ok so this is drag and drop so tell me which answer goes in each box the for the box o the left count that as the first box ty n
Ainat [17]

Answer:

\Huge\boxed{z

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello There!

Once again we need to isolate the variable using inverse operations

to get rid of the -8.2 we add 8.2 to each side

-8.2+8.2 cancels out

-9.7+8.2=-1.5

now we have

-1.2z>-1.5

now we wan to get rid of the -1.2

to do so we want to divide each side by -1.2

\frac{-1.2z}{-1.2} =z\\\\\frac{-1.5}{-1.2} =1.25

Remember we have to flip the inequality sign because we're dividing by a negative number

we're left with

z<1.25
