Answer: The correct answer is- Protozoa, Viruses, Algae, Fungi, Bacteria.

Pathogens can be described as disease causing agents ( also called infectious biological agents) that cause illness as they invade host organism.

Example of pathogens-

virus ( such as human pappilomavirus that causes cerival cancer),

bacteria ( such as Salmonella typhimurium that causes typhoid) ,

protozoa ( such as Entamoeba histolytica causing amebiasis),

fungi ( such as Candida species causing fungal infection) ,

algae ( that can produce algal blooms, which releases harmful toxins).

Answer:

A vacuole is a membrane-bound organelle. They are a kind of vesicle. Vacuoles are closed sacs, made of membranes with inorganic or organic molecules inside, such as enzymes. They have no set shape or size, and the cell can change them as it wants.

Explanation:

Water is predominantly found in cell sap. It serves as a storehouse for the plant cell to act as a storage place for excess nutrients. A vacuole is a membrane-enclosed fluid filled sac.

A cell biologist determines that diploid cells from a particular species of grasshopper contain 200 picograms of DNA per cell du
Pavel [41]

Answer:

The correct answer will be- 200

Explanation:

The cell cycle in eukaryotes mostly takes place in four phases: G₁, S, G₂ and M phase in sequence.

The DNA replication takes place during S phase which doubles the amount of DNA in a cell after which during M- phase the DNA divides into the daughter cell.

The amount of DNA present during G₂ phase is the 200 pg which will remain same until anaphase I as the segregation of chromosomes to the daughter cells takes place in the anaphase. Therefore, the amount of DNA observed after G₂ phase will remain 200 pg till metaphase I.

Thus, 200 is the correct answer.

Viktor [21]

Answer:

cAMP dependent pathway is important for processing of life.

Explanation:

cAMP pathway is also called as adenynyl cyclase pathway.

This mechanism requires different steps like-

 1. G protein coupled receptor is a integral protein that is activated by different external stimuli which binds with the specific ligand.
 2. Extracellular ligand causes activation of GPCR which in turn is responsible for conformational change in the receptor and allows it to bind with the intracellular heterotrimeric G protein complex.
 3. The Gα stimulate G protein complex to exchange GDP for GTP and then the complex is released.
 4. Activated Gα binds with adenylate cyclase and catalyzes ATP to form cyclic AMP.
 5. Activation of cAMP leads to the activation of nucleotide gated ion channel, and PKa(Protein kinase A) which is also called as cAMP dependent enzyme.
 6. Once, PKA is activated,it causes phospholylation of other proteins like AMPA receptor, transcription factors which regulate gene expression, and convert glycogen into glucose.
