Remember a negative times a negative is the only time the answer will be positive. When a negative is multiplied by a positive it will always be negative.
ex:
-2 x 5
since this is a negative and a positive the answer will be negative. knowing that just multiply 2x5=10 then add the negative -10.
A negative number multiplied by another negative number becomes a positive number. But a negative number multiplied by a positive number is still negative. <u>Every pair of 2 negatives become positive.</u> This is important. Make sure to remember that.
