Is "Yes, he was stone, stone dead." Is that a simile metaphor personification or a hyperbole?
Elden [556K]
Pretty sure its a simile. It cant be personification because it says “he” which refers to a living and breathing human. I don’t think it would be a hyperbole because hyperboles are an over exaggerated description. It doesn’t use like or as, so i would say in this case simile.

Answer: D: A particular viewpoint

When you put a “spin” on something, it means to look at something in a different way, or with a “particular viewpoint.” This can be a positive or negative spin. Already, only choice D makes sense, but now let’s also look at the adjective that describes “spin” in the sentence. “Positive spin.” If we are putting a “positive spin” on teenage years’ traumas, then we are looking at them in a different way or with a particular POSITIVE viewpoint. Choice D is the answer most close to this. The rest of the answers describe different words.

I want a paragraph about E-learning with using present continuous tense.
lara [203]

Answer:

These days I am doing a French online course, which I am really enjoying. My French teacher, Marie, is giving classes through videoconference. Besides, I am having classes with my best friends - Carlo and Mark, so we are always laughing the whole class. In the course we are learning speaking, reading, listening and writing, just like an ordinary class! However, we are using interesting online material. Besides, Marie is continously posting interesting videos, books and magazines for us to enjoy learning in our free time.
