Answer:

Price of bond= $75,075.58

Explanation:

The value of the bond is the present value(PV) of the future cash receipts expected from the bond. The value is equal to present values of interest payment plus the redemption value (RV).

Value of Bond = PV of interest + PV of RV

The value of the bond for Akers Company can be worked out as follows:

Step 1

PV of interest payments

Semi annul interest payment

= 6% × 100,000 × 1/2 = 3000

Semi-annual yield = 10%/2 = 5% per six months

Total period to maturity (in months)

= (2 × 10) = 20 periods

PV of interest =

3000 × (1- (1+0.05)^( -20)/) 0.05 = 37,386.63

Step 2

PV of Redemption Value

= 100,000 × (1.05)^(-20) = 37,688.95

Price of bond

Price of bond = 37,386.63 + 37,688.95 = 75,075.58

Price of bond= $75,075.58

What do you mean by the comparative advantage?

Comparative advantage refers to the maximization of the efficiency of the economy and its well being by focusing on the production of those resources, which country can produce and exports them in the exchange of those goods, which a country does not produce.

One can have the comparative advantage at production if it could produce the goods at lower cost as compare to the others.

Here, both the islands focus only on the making of the thing they're best at doing.

The Jacob's contribution per unit is:

e) 80

Explanation:

To understand this answer we need to explain a few things. First of all, te contribution unit concept is used to express, identify, or define the net profit after one unit has been sold and all the expenses have been subtracted from it. The formula to obtain it is: (Total revenues- Total Variable costs) divided by total units. Following this information we have.

Total revenue is: 100 USD per night

Total variable costs are: 20 USD per night

Total units are only one.

Therefore 80 USD is our contribution per unit.
