Answer:

Slope of the line is -1.2

Option B is correct option.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find slope of the line with given points (4, 10.5) and (8,5.7)

The formula used to calculate slope is: Slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

The points given are: (4, 10.5) and (8,5.7)

We have x_1=4,y_1= 10.5x_2=8,y_2=5.7

Putting values and finding slope

Slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\\Slope=\frac{5.7-10.5}{8-4}\\Slope=\frac{-4.8}{4}\\Slope=-1.2

So, Slope of the line is -1.2

Option B is correct option.

Solve the equation using square roots. X^2+16=0
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

<u>The answer is :</u>

<u>x₁ = 4</u>

<u>x₂ = -4</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve the equation using square roots.

X^2+16=0

x² + 16 = 0

x² = -16 (Adding 16 at both sides of the equation)

√x² = i√16 (Square root to both sides of the equation)

x = +/- 4i (Roots of the solution)

<u>x₁ = 4i</u>

<u>x₂ = -4i</u>

At a 3-mile cross-country race, an athlete runs 2 miles at 6 mph and 1 mile at 12 mph. What is the athlete's average speed?
Tom [10]

Answer: the average speed is 7.5 mph or at least im pretty sure

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because if you make the 2 miles at 6 mph to 1 mile at 3 mph then you get 1 mile at 3mph and 1 mile at 12 mph. now that you have the unit rates of these you can add them. 1 + 1 = 2 miles and 3 + 12 = 15 mph now divide this by two and you get 7.5 mph per mile.

I hope this helped, if it did could you give me a good rating? lol

Answer:

A'

Step-by-step explanation:

It is A' because they are corresponding angles, it is the same exact shape it has just been translated to a different area of the graphic plane.

If my answer is incorrect, please notify me and I'll assess what it was that I did wrong.

How can a ratio's number can be changed without changing the ratio itself
eimsori [14]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

The ratio is a fraction that tells us how many times longer a thing is compared to another thing. In mathematics, we express a ratio as the relationship between two numbers, namely a \ and \ b, so the ratio can be written as:

r=\frac{a}{b}

If we can change this number without changing the ration we need to multiply  both the numerator and the denominator by the same number. For instance, if we have the following ratio:

r=\frac{2}{3}

We can multiply both the numerator and denominator, say, by 7. Then:

r=\frac{7\times 2}{7 \times 3}=\frac{14}{21}

As you can see, the ratio's number has changed but without changing the ratio itself because:

\frac{2}{3}=\frac{14}{21}

A slide 4.4 m long makes an angle of 33 with the ground. How high is the top of the slide above the ground
svp [43]
Using the information given we will only need the Cosine and Sine equations.  i made a diagram (cant take a picture, in my study hall) labeled the sides of the triangle A, B, and C.  with C as the hypotenuse, A as the Opposite, and B as the adjacent (will not be needed as A is the height). i will be rounding the th nearest thousandth.
Using Sine (SIN=Opposite/Hypotenuse), we can find A.

SIN(33)=A/4.4

SIN(33)≈.545

.545≈A/4.4

now multiply each side by 4.4 to get rid of the division

(.545*4.4)≈((A/4.4)4.4)

2.396≈A

so the answer would be that the slide is about 2.396 M high
