I'm sorry I haven't read the book in a long time but here are some tips.

Only talk about the events that susan would know about. Don't talk about john at home and things like that.

Make sure you use words that shows Susan is not happy like hate, stupid, etc. Not sure if you are girl or boy, but make sure you talk about all the little details that girls would think about. Like john getting chocolate on Susans dress. You could also talk more about the coin and what she was going to do with it(you can make something up cuz teachers give points for creativity.)
