Answer: the battle of Lexington started the American revolution
Reason: This was when both sides watched each other not really sure who was going to make the first move. When suddenly a person, who is unknown to this day shot. This was henceforth Known as the shot heard around the world. Since this happened the battle of Lexington began marking the start of the American revolution.
