People of Texas ate corn in multiple forms like roasting ears, cornbread, popcorn, hoecake, pudding, porridge and in many other forms. Texans also feed their livestock with corn in different forms like grain or fodder.

  • Stalks and leaves were used for roofing purpose, as scarecrows, for fencing and also as a material for the construction of shelter.
