How do we keep Lincoln`s promise to our Veterans and their family`s
Yuliya22 [10]
In his speech Abraham Lincoln promised to care for those who were wounded in battle. This was at the end of the Civil War where many soldiers both Union and Confederate lost their lives or badly wounded. Throughout history, many brave men and women have dedicated their lives to protecting their country’s freedom literally putting themselves in the jaws of death to do so. To keep Lincoln’s promise alive, we must do all that we can to support veterans who fight to preserve our freedom. We can do this by helping them transition from military to civilian life. Helped them find jobs and assist them in their medical needs. More importantly, we need to be there when they feel despair. They have done so much for us so we can do no less.
