Danny and Vincent are characters in the story.

In the beginning the characters meet. In the middle, Danny describes the circus to Vincent. At the end, Danny goes to practice for a ball game.

The problem is that Vincent doesn't have money to see the performance. It is resolved when Danny allows Vincent to have his tickets.
